What am I doing in Japan?

Nobody forced me to come here. My free will led me to take this job. I am a Coordinator of International Relations. This is a position open to interpretation. Officially, I am a cultural ambassador between the town of Hood River, Oregon, and Tsuruta, Aomori, Japan. Unofficially, I am an elementary school teacher, a journalist and a web designer. My job is whatever I choose on a given day.

The links to the left of this page detail my life in Japan. While not always pretty to read, they give, in my opinion, an accurate idea of what it is like to live here. Sometimes life here is beautiful, and sometimes it is utter hell. Read my online journal for yourself. Question if you would move to an utterly foreign place someday.
