Hello Windsurfers! Today is Friday, May 18th, 2007

Thank god it's Friday! Happy weekend windsurfers and kiteboarders! The pagers are still working!

Our friend the upper level low is still hanging out off the Oregon coast. With a big low pressure system beating down gradients, Gorge winds will struggle to put in a strong showing.

A front will pass early Saturday morning, bring marine air into the Western Gorge. Desert heating will provide some push to the winds, but don't expect anything epic.

Under southwesterly flow (again), best winds will be east of Hood River. Expect 20-25 (that's gusts to 25, not average 25) at Dougs/Rowena and maybe (maybe) further east.

If you'd like to receive a short version of these forecasts via cellular email each night, please drop me a note at twomirrors@gmail.com. No guarantee of accuracy, but it's just one more source of information for you!
