Easter Sunday forecast

Happy Easter!

Skiers and snowboarders, as of 5am it's snowing, not raining, at Mt. Hood Meadows. This is a very good thing. It's still not clear if we're going to get wet snow or rain later today. 7am update: It's now raining at Meadows. Boooooo.... Perhaps if you wish for snow, we'll get snow. If we end up with rain today, we'll still end up with cold snow tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday. I'd say tomorrow will be lovely at Meadows. I'd suggest Skibowl, but they're now closed Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday at Skibowl, maybe?

On the windsurfing and kiteboarding scene, we'll see gusty westerlies later today in the 17-20 range, possibly a little higher out east. It's going to rain, so it won't be an ideal day on the water. Tomorrow looks better. An upper level low spins through BC and a strong cold front slides across the Northwest. Desert winds will make it into the 27-32 range, and corridor winds should be gusty, but enough for kiteboarding at the Spit.

High pressure builds off the coast on Tuesday, setting up a corridor windsurfing and kiteboarding day. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect 27-31 in the Corridor and at the Doug's Beach/Rowena stretch.

We'll likely see sunshine and strong corridor winds on Wednesday, as high pressure sets up off the coast and low pressure moves in over the Rockies.

FYI, the radio forecast on 105.5 and 92.7 starts tomorrow. Catch Laura Green and me with the wind, trail and general recreation report at 6:30/7:30/8:30/9:30 on 92.7/KMSW and 6:55/7:55/8:55/9:55 on 105.5/KCGB.
