3/8 Happy snow forecast

If you would like to go windsurfing or kiteboarding in the next week or so, you are not going to be so happy.

If you're a powder junkie, you're stoked!

I skied last night until 7:30 or so (thanks to Roland for the awesome tele tip), and the snow is fantastic. Amazing. Beautiful. Wonderful. Supreme. Superb. Subarashii.... ooops. Wrong language.

Anyway, it's been cold and windy on Mt Hood, and the powder reflects the perfection of the weather. It's light, fluffy and just plain old epic. I'm loathe to describe it more, because I feel like that will take away from the beauty.

Suffice it to say there's 12-14" of new snow at Meadows today, with another 6" or so on the way today, 6" tonight and 6" tomorrow. This is going to be a fantastic few days of skiing, probably the best we've had all season.

If you've been moping around the house because the winter weather is getting to you, drag yourself up to Meadows today. You will feel better. I, for one, find it very hard not to smile when I'm ripping down a slope with powder flying off my skies and blasting me in the face.

I'm smiling just thinking about it. Have a fantastic day today!
