Sunday 1/25

It's snowing again in Hood River. NOAA's calling for less than an inch of accumulation, which is, I suppose, a good thing down here. Unfortunately, we're only going to get a few inches on Mt. Hood. That leaves us with dust-on-crust conditions at the resorts. Groomed runs are still in good shape, and damned fun, but everything off the groom (including Heather) is icy.

Tomorrow night is Hood River Rotary night at Meadows. For $10, you can ski from 1pm-9pm and party until 10pm. Rotary members and Rotary clubs do good deeds and provide cool scholarships. You should come up tomorrow night and hand over your $10 to support them. This is a Temira-endorsed event!

We'll get a couple of inches of snow today, a trace for tomorrow - but mostly it will be sunny tomorrow - and then 3-6 inches on Tuesday. Friday, Saturday and Sunday look like they'll have a lot of precipitation, but snow levels are looking iffy at this point. Pray for cold in the mountains.

The windsurfing and kiteboarding forecast for insane people follows: East winds today. Light winds tomorrow. Sailable westerlies Tuesday afternoon.
