Thursday 1/15 June-uary Forecast

Go skiing today. It's June-uary on the slopes, and I mean that in the best of ways. It's sunny and warm and summerlike.

No, really. The weather will be much nicer on the mountain than it will be in the valleys.

You could go windsurfing or kiteboarding. We have an east .20 gradient, which will be enough for 30+ at Rooster.  Given the depth of the inversion, I'm thinking Rooster will be much better (windier/sunnier/warmer) than Stevenson. Testing a new theory here... However, it's going to be COLD down here and HOT on the mountain. Go up to the hill, you silly windsurfers and kiteboarders. If nothing else, you can work on your tan.

Even if you don't want to ski, head uphill. It's going to be warmer and sunnier up there. I'm going to take my computer up and do some work in the sun. You should too.

The snow stayed good all day yesterday. I noticed a tiny bit of sticky snow right around 3 o'clock in a spot that must have been sunny all day. Otherwise, the skiing was good from start to finish.

Now, stop reading and go up to the mountains.

Have a great day!
