Tuesday Star Count Forecast

Hi Everyone!

If you've been receiving these emails for a while, you  know how I love meteor showers. I love stars too. Ambient light blocks our ability to see stars. Don't believe me? Go up on a wilderness ridge and look up. You'll be amazed how many stars you can see. Point? Our night sky is a resource here in the scenic area, and the Gorge Commission needs your help. Please take a look at the information here: www.gorgecommission.org/Indicators.cfm.

For what it's worth, I was asked to mention this by Arthur Babitz, who is running for mayor of Hood River. I've endorsed Arthur (for the little that's worth!), and hope you'll support him by voting for him.

I'm also looking for a single man with a good health insurance policy. Whoever you are, please marry me and put me on your policy in the unlikely event that John McCain is elected. Thanks.

Ok. Enough politics. Weather. Light east today. Light nothing tomorrow. Light on Friday.

Friday, let me point out, is Halloween, the traditional start of winter. Cross your fingers that we get another week or two of decent weather. I'm not ready to join the gym yet, and I'm betting you aren't either!

Have a great day!

Temira
