Hi Everyone,
Today starts off light, but we’ll see 17-20 in the corridor this afternoon under sunny skies. If you’re a coastal fanatic, today will have 20+ from Florence down to Pistol with a ten foot swell at 13 seconds.
Wind tomorrow will be light in the Gorge, but the coast will be going off. The north coast sees 20-25 knots tomorrow. The Central and South coast see 25-30 knots. There’s one small problem at the coast tomorrow… actually, it’s a big problem. The predicted swell is 15 feet in the north and 14 feet in the south. That wouldn’t be big on Maui where there are channels, but on our beach-break Oregon Coast, 15 feet is challenging. I’m tempted…
If you’d like tamer conditions, wait until Sunday for easterlies in the 30+ range at Stevenson and Rooster.
Mountain bikers and moto=heads will be smiling this weekend as well. Trails are in awesome shape all around the Gorge. If you’ve got some spare time on Saturday, please come help out on the Cook Meadows trail work party. For more information, call Dirty Fingers or the Hood River Forest Service office... I haven't had a chance to get the details yet.
Ok. I'm off to work. Well, actually, I'm off to drink my coffee and then head to work in a few minutes.
Have a good day!
