Hello everyone,
What a lovely morning!
First, an apology. I forgot to say Happy New Year. Probably because Arthur forgot to make me my new year's Babka.
Not much in the way of wind today. I'm heading to Mosier for coffee. Forced exercise.
Tomorrow sees a front pass over Oregon. After the passage of the front, we'll see some wind way-out-east. A couple of problems exist tomorrow: possible thunderstorms and rain may lift the wind off the water (check windONthewater.com to find out). If not, we will see shortilived 28-32 at sites favored by southerly flow, meaning Arlington and Avery. Keep your gear in the car, but don't have your heart set on windsurfing/kiting.
Don't forget that the Maryhill Bridge is closed.
Friday just looks wet.
Other fun activities:
1. Palin-Biden debate watching party at Doppio in Hood River. 6pm start time. Beer and wine available for purchase. Come watch these two stick their feet in their mouths. (See... I'm not pushing my politics on you) Did I mention that I can see Washington from my living room, and am therefore qualified to be governor of Washington?
2. Vote for Arthur Babitz for Mayor of Hood River. (Temira endorses Arthur for Mayor)
3. Eco-Home Tour Saturday in Hood River. Bikes get to do the tour (in the rain) for free.
4. Hood River Hops Fest. Saturday. Need I explain?
5. Vote for Arthur Babitz for Mayor.
Have a great day everyone!
Temira
