Saturday night's alright for parties... but go play now!

Hello everyone!

Is 32 at doug's and 27 at Maryhill considered Dawn Patrol?

It's a numbers game: .16, .02, .26. If you add them all together, you get the Kabbalistic number of 8, meaning "go windsurfing today."

Marine clouds piled into the western Gorge overnight. Thunderclouds covered much of the state. Scattered precipitation shows on the satellite picture, but I haven't got a clue if it's from thunderheads or rain clouds. It doesn't really matter with blasting westerlies at Doug's. You can't go wrong with Mosier/Rowena/Doug's today. On the other hand, it appears (from my window) that the actual marine deck stops west of the Hatchery. If that's the case, give the Gorge a couple of hours to steady herself (she was out late drinking Scorpion Bowls last night, the dirty girl), and the Corridor will go nuclear as well. On the third hand (if you're an alien with four hands, you can say such things), a shortwave will cross the Gorge sometime today, deepening the marine deck and possibly shutting down western sites, if they ever make it to 30 (Temira is a spoiled windsurfer).

Given the excellent Swell at, well, Swell the past few days, it's worth hoping for another corridor session. Keep hope alive. I'm powered by hope (and supporters like you).

If you can't sail until evening, you're looking at Maryhill and Arlington for the nuclear session. Oh do I wish I didn't have to work. I'd just sit around in the hot tub all day waiting for Arlington to hit 32... well... maybe I wouldn't sit in the hot tub. I'd sail at the Wall (oops... I said it!!!) first.

Tomorrow looks 24-28 as high pressure rebuilds at the coast.

Monday looks lighter as high pressure rebuilds everywhere. Probably 17-20 or so.

Best chance for another nuclear session will be Wednesday/Thursday out in the desert as a strong system (no longer unseasonable, this being the season for such things) pile-drives Oregon.

So... I said this on the radio today, but I had to mention it to you guys as well. I called Bart the other day to ask why the midday lull was so shortlived. He said, "Two Mirrors, the days are shorter. Of course the midday lull will be shorter. Think proportions." I thought that was pretty funny.

Have a fantastic day on the water!

Temira (I most definitely approved this forecast)
