Hi everyone!
It's windy. It's going to be windy later. It's going to be windy tomorrow. It's going to be windy Saturday. It's ...
Well, you get the picture. For the first time this year, I am calling all my friends at the horribly early hour of 7am to tell them that it's windy. People hate that. It's really too early to get on the water, in my book. No coffee yet, and I didn't sleep well with the wind whistling in the wires making a tattle-tale sound. Most people are telling me it's too cold, but that's hogwash. It's 62 degrees at Swell right now, and that's plenty warm for a session. If you're not awake, you should be. The sky is beautiful; smoke from the fires and high clouds from southerly flow turned the sky pink and light peach for the sunrise.
(I should shut up and go windsurfing, shouldn't I?)
Anyway the gradient is .12 right now, and that's enough for mid-twenties to hold. Models suggest a mid-day lull, but I'm not sure fi that will happen. We have marine clouds and low pressure in the desert, a good setup for long-lasting winds. Models also imply more wind in the afternoon, so I'll play optimist today. 24-28 in the corridor this morning, shifting eastward this afternoon. Upper flow is southerly, so i'm not sure how good The Wall (oops, I mean Maryhill) will be.
Tomorrow looks windier, as weak high pressure takes up residence at the coast and the heat low parks in the desert (sounds like dessert to me). 27-30. Saturday is looking like 28-32 out east. Sunday looks windy too.
That was one orgasmic forecast.
Have a nice day.
This is Temira, and I approved this forecast.
