Hi everyone!
I wrote out a long and amusing forecast yesterday, copied it to the website, and forgot to mail it out to all of you.
Last night I wrote out the radio forecast. It was funny as well. I meant to copy and paste it to you guys, but somehow didn't save it.
I know the wind situation, once again, looks sad this morning, but it will get better. Sort of. The gradient is .03 this morning, not enough to do anything yet, but just wait. We're all waiting on an upper level low that will drop from BC to eastern Washington this afternoon. This setup seems to favor Stevenson for longest-lasting winds. Once the wind picks up there, it will hold for many hours. If you want to sail at the Hatch, be ready to go as soon as the wind picks up. Most likely it will only blow for 2 hours or so there, but we'll see 22-26 this afternoon. Your next best bet is Mosier for the longer session.
After that, winds shift east as southerly gradients pick up. The late session at Arlington should be 23-26 with strong southerly gradient support.
Oh yes... Doug's and Rowena... probably gusty.
Tomorrow looks light.
Sunday looks like 23-27 east winds. That could be fun, but east winds are east winds, even if you dress them up with lipstick. =)
Have a great day!
Temira
p.s. I'm Temira Wagonfeld, and I've approved this forecast.
