flip-flopping wind forecast

Hi Everyone,

After yesterday's gusty performance by mother nature, we're back to not much of anything today. A .02 gradient starts the day, and westerlies may pick up enough to ripple the river. Don't expect much more. As the day goes on, high pressure builds over the Northwest and a heat low takes over at the coast. That's high pressure inland and low pressure offshore. That's an easterly setup. So... by tonight, gradients turn around, setting up easterlies for tomorrow.

Desert temps still aren't cold enough at night to set up strong east winds. We'll have 20-25 tomorrow at Rooster and Stevenson.

Friday sees the thermal trough shift eastward, setting up a west wind day. It'll take a while for things to get going, but we'll have 22-26 )possibility of a bit better) in the afternoon.

If you’re thinking coastal, head to Florence for 25 knots plus waves the next few days. Specifically, 9 feet today. 5 foot north swell plus 4 foot south swell tomorrow. 6 foot northwest swell Friday.

Time for coffee.

And then time for work.

Have a great day!

Temira
