Hi everyone,
Oh my goodness!!!
I know these clouds look gloomy, but they're going to dissipate in an hour or two or three, leaving us with clear skies from the Hatch eastward. My call for best wind is still way out east, but I think it will fill in everywhere else as well. Gradients are ridiculous out east right now: .18 East-West and .28 (not ridiculous) North-South. If the .18 holds, we'll see 30-40 from Maryhill eastward. Too bad they're not running the Dam-to-Dam race anymore. Today would be the day.
Maryhill hopefuls, be prepared to drive further or sail at the grain silos. I'm not saying it won't get good down at Rufus and that other place we don't talk about, but upper flow is very southerly. Southerly upper flow doesn't bode well for consistent winds in that stretch of the river. Maybe Mother Nature will prove me wrong today... I hope so...
Kiters: with only .07 from Portland to the Dalles, we should see 18-22 at the Sandbar later.
Tomorrow: 19-23 from Doug's eastward..
Wednesday: depends on the cloud cover. Possibly 30+ out east.
Have a super-awesome, kick-ass day on the water today, and don't forget your little stuff!
Temira
