Hot Forecast

Good morning everyone!

Today is your last chance to enjoy west winds for a few days. Please enjoy westerlies. It's looking like mid to upper teen averages will hold through the day today, so if you have big kites or big sails, you're ready for today's heat.

Tomorrow, though, looks problematic, as does Friday. Once again, the hot, angry hand of mother nature comes down upon the Gorge. Winds do the John McCain flip-flop (ooops, did I say that?), turning around and blowing out of the east. At best, though, we'll see 15-20, but that's enough for those ever-popular kite downwinders.

Earliest chance for Gorge westerlies looks like Sunday. It's unclear at this point how much of a cooldown we'll get, but I've got my fingers crossed.

In the meantime, you'd be well served to head to the north or central coast. Looks like 20 knots today, 20-25 tomorrow and 20-25 on Friday. You'll have waves as well. 5 feet today,  6 feet tomorrow, and 7, rising to 9 on Friday. Anyone want to guess which day I'm headed out there?

Once again, I am putting out the offer to stop at Uwajimaya for Melona bars and other sundries.

Until then, stay cool!

Temira
