Hi everyone,
I slept in this morning. A 14 hour day yesterday (and yes, I snuck in 45 minutes on the water) was a bit overwhelming.
It's already blowing in the, um (we can't give away proprietary information here) in the low to mid twenties at the Hatch. Give Mother Nature a little time and she'll drive the winds into a frenzy. Ok, maybe not a "frenzy," but it will get windier. With Portland buried and dying under the clouds and Hood River in the sun, we'll see solid winds til afternoon in the corridor. I call 24-28, with 11:13-1:07pm best in the corridor. After that, go have lunch and head to Doug's for another round of 24-28.
Tomorrow looks better. I wouldn't be surprised to see marine clouds make it past Hood River tomorrow, setting up dawn patrol at Doug's. If not, dawn patrol at the Hatch is the call. Models suggest wind all the way out to Arlington, where the mayor will be posing... oh no, never mind. They recalled her. Those bastards. I liked the mayor of Arlington. Anyway... 21-24 to start, unless it's at Doug's, then 22-26 to start. 27-30 by the end of the day. I don't have to work tomorrow, nah nah nah nah!!!!
Upper level ridging levels gradient across the Northwest over the weekend (at least it looks that way as of now), shutting off gradients for the weekend warriors. We might, might, might see a return to westerlies Sunday. It's really too far out to make the call, though.
Have a nice day. I have to go make Tiramisu and roasted beets now before I can sail.
