Hello Sailors,
I'm afraid you get a bit of a cut-and-paste report this morning. I have to go scrub someone's toilets and don't have the time to write much. Here's what I said on the radio (LOL) this morning.
Windsurfers are going to love this report. Kiteboarders will shop for small kites. We start with light winds today, but gradients skyrocket later in the Eastern Gorge. Starting around four, windspeeds approach 30. This is gusty, frontally driven wind, but high river flow should make for great swell. With rain falling in the central gorge, your best bet is Arlington or Threemile. Don’t forget to find a carpool buddy to cut your carbon footprint and lower your gasoline bill.
Tuesday looks like epic conditions again in the desert. Huge gradients following the passage of a low pressure system drive winds into the mid to upper thirties from Maryhill eastward. This will be a perfect day for the Arlington to Threemile downwinder. (This was not on the radio) Hell, it could just be one of the best days ever if predictions hold. This is a nuker. No, a super-nuker. Epic, crazy, blah blah blah. You get the point. If the models are correct, it's going to GO OFF in the desert. I'm rescheduling things to accomodate.
Anyone know if there's internet access in Arlington?
Wednesday finishes off those still standing with another 28-32 day in the Gorge. With high pressure building and skies clearing, winds should fill in to the central gorge as well. I hope. I'm still burned about missing that massive day in the Corridor a couple of weeks ago. I want mine too!
Have a great day everyone!
