Good morning sailors!
I had a feeling that would happen yesterday.
Today looks better. We're starting off with a dense marine layer to the west and solid gradients to the east. That pesky upper level low that's been troubling the neighborhood slides east this afternoon, dragging isobars and wind in its wake. With the cloudline just west of the Hatchery, and the low shifting far to the east, we'll have wind everywhere from the Hatchery eastward. Kiters may want to head to Stevenson today; it's going to blow in the 26-29 range pretty much everywhere today. Best wind will be this afternoon.
Clouds clear tomorrow, drawing westerlies back to the Corridor. Don't expect to throw on your shorty, but do expect slightly warmer temps and sunshine tomorrow. If you can find a sheltered spot, you might be able to work on your tan. I'm not sure why you'd want to go tanning when you could be on the water - we're looking at 16-19 to start the day and an afternoon 22-25 session - but if you want to tan, be my guest. Please remember to wear sunscreen and not expose any bits you can't see on a supermarket magazine rack. That is, unless you are at the nudie beach at Rooster Rock or at a nudie barbeque on Sauvie's. If you are at one of those places, you can expose whatever you'd like.
Another late spring cold front arrives Tuesday, like an unexpected houseguest, bringing more clouds and rain to the Gorge. In its oversized pink luggage will be a bit more gusty frontal wind in the 21-24 range.
l'm sick. =(
Have a nice day!
