Good morning sailors!

Happy sailboat racing day!

We're starting off the day with onshore and sailable gradients. Get some work done this morning, because come afternoon, winds are going to pick up throughout the Gorge! A deep marine air mass darkens the sky now, and that's not going to change much today, leaving temperatures on the cool side. Models suggest winds in the 30ish range this afternoon. Text discussions give nothing to support this, with only a 10 degree thermal difference between Portland and Arlington and no fronts passing. Because of this inconsistency, I'll make a conservative call: 25-28 averages from Doug's eastward starting around 2pm. Looks like the sailboat racers will get gusts to around 30 in the Corridor during the race tonight.

West winds and cloudy skies continue tomorrow. We'll start off the day in the 17-20 range. By afternoon, winds will be blowing in the 22-25 range, probably from Mosier eastward. We'll see where the marine deck sets up.

Friday continues the streak.

Have a great day!
