5.25 Can we please have some normal weather?

Good morning sailors!

Everything overhead is still moving east to west in the Gorge, but gradients and surface flow have switched back to west-to-east.

We still don't have high pressure along the coast. Fortunately, the upper level low, like a bad neighbor, moved down to California in the middle of the night. With the low off the coast gone and the low in the desert in place, westerly gradients developed, giving us winds in the upper teens this morning. Don't expect much more today... maybe a slow build into very gusty low twenties at best. Most likely, we'll just see gusty winds in the upper teens.

This pattern continues for the next couple of days. Monday looks very similar to today, with less rain showers, perhaps. Tuesday carries the possibility of stronger winds as a front passes, but this will likely happen overnight. I'll say 17-21 for both days, leaving open the possibility of an update if this weird weather changes.

Have a great day today!
