Good morning sailors!
Can we call this dawn patrol? 21 mph at the Hatchery with a .09 gradient to back it up. Sunny skies. 49 degrees. High pressure settled off the Oregon coast will keep us in the 21-25 range all day. If you're interested in playing in the river, today is the day. Temperatures will plummet tomorrow afternoon, turning windsports into a finger-numbing proposition.
Despite the falling temperatures, winds will pick up tomorrow with the passage of a weak cold front. Look for upper twenties to low thirties in the desert in the mid-afternoon after the passage of the front. As always, you can skip the epic drive by sailing just to the east of the cloud line.
Saturday brings frigid temperatures, frosts (bad news for farmers) and a bit of new snow over the boilerplate ice at Meadows.
Enjoy the sun today!
