I'm back!! January 15th Forecast!

Hello Sailors!

After a traumatizing absence due to (ahem) forgetting my password, I'm back, just in time to tell you about some upcoming wind!

A summer-like (but cold) pattern sets up over the PNW through the end of the week. With a 1040 mb high pressure over coastal waters and lesser high pressure over the desert, we'll see west winds in the Gorge and sun over much of the PNW.

Our best shot at sailable corridor westerlies is Thursday afternoon.

Best shot at sailing in general is any day on the coast. Most likely the kiters will have more fun, but any northerly coastal day in mid-winter is a bonus day!

Models are inconsistent about next weekend. If cold air seeps into the desert, we'll see sailable easterlies. If not, we won't.

Cross your fingers that we don't end up with the inversion all week (unlikely, but possible), and head to the mountain for sunny conditions!
