Good Morning Sailors!
Don't worry... I still love you guys. It was just fun to give you a hard time about missing Sunday. Here's one of the replies I received:
"We wish we were there with you. We have been sailing on lake erie in 34 deg air/38 deg. water. We would be out with you I'm 200 lbs. and I've been wound up on my 3.8 3 days last week, my wife on her 2.5. Joe and Debbie Erie, PA."
So, this week's kudos go to Joe and Debbie in Erie, PA, for being crazier than Stevenson east wind sailors.
Back to the Gorge... continued light onshore flow prevents all but the most dedicated kiters and slalom sailors from playing on the river today. We may see a bump in winds overnight, as a lurking cold front approaches. More importantly, we might see a few flurries in town overnight, and a few inches up on the mountain (just in time for the weekend warriors).
Best chance for sailable winds and decent snow on the mountain is Tuesday... long ways out...
In the meantime, there are plenty of fun things to do this weekend, like that rave in Portland in an unheated warehouse Friday night... or maybe not...
Have a great day!
Temira
