Good Morning Sailors,
I'm already running late for the drive to Portland, so I'll be quick.
Hurricane force winds continue at the Oregon coast today. That's where we're headed, with a plan to test speed sails. Chinook Speed Ditch sailors beat 40 knots on 4.2's yesterday. We're hoping for similar conditions.
Strong southerly winds also continue in the desert. Port Kelly is reading 30 right now, but I have no idea what a 30 knot southerly is like out there. My best suggestion would be Vantage or Seattle (I'm actually jealous of you Seattle people!)
Best chance of winds in the Gorge will be tomorrow, as a cold front slams into the PNW. Watch Arlington and Doug's.
Ok... I really have to go pick up Tom (not to mention finish loading the car!)...
Have a great day today!
Temira
