Crazy Weather Forecast

Good morning sailors,

Well... we have exciting news on the weather front. For the Gorge, we've got a winter storm warning for Saturday night. With east winds blowing through the Gorge, temperatures will drop, bringing cold air from the east. Subtropical warmth and moisture behind the cold air will have a hard time breaking this pattern (although it will clear by Monday). Instead of falling as rain, all the moisture will fall as pretty white flakes! Basically, what this means is extreme sledding on 7th Street Sunday morning. Drop me a note if you'd like to come along! I know it sounds a little silly, but I promise you'll have a great time!

Starting Saturday, we'll see strong winds on the coast, building to hurricane force on Monday. If you're interested in coming along, we'll be heading out for speedsailing.

Now, I'm not promising anything here, but it's worth watching the eastern Gorge sites (Threemile and beyond) for good windsurfing over the weekend. With huge southerly gradients over eastern Oregon, potential exists for good fun!

Seattle has the potential for sailable conditions on Sunday, followed by excellent conditions on Monday. Wish I was there to join you guys at Richmond Beach!

Temperatures climb and rain falls on Monday, making for flooding potential all over the PNW.

Exciting stuff, eh?

Have a great day!!!

Temira
