Cloudy Wednesday

Good Morning Sailors!

We're not going to see much wind in the Gorge today, but we can go see a great movie. Tonight, at the Columbia Center For the Arts, at 7:30, is the Hood River debut (only showing, actually) of the award-winning film "Man Push Cart".

From Netflix: "Standing on a corner in midtown Manhattan every day, a Pakistani immigrant named Ahmad sells his coffee and bagels to the fast-paced New Yorkers from a cart -- all the while harboring secrets from a tragic past. After becoming friends with local newsstand worker Noemi and a wealthy man named Mohammad, Ahmad's inner demons begin to surface in this poignant examination of personal identity in the big city from director Ramin Bahrani."

Organizer Joe McCulloch (of this list, of course) has great taste in movies, so get up off the couch and head to the Columbia Center for the Arts (2nd and Cascade) tonight. You won't regret it!

Best chance of sailable wind comes tomorrow, after the overnight passage of a cold front. We'll be looking at west winds in the east Gorge. Onshore flow continues Friday, with a probably return to offshore flow Saturday.

Best chance of snow (and snowy hot-tubbing) is tonight. Temperature are too high now, though, and won't drop without the development of offshore flow (unlikely), so snow chances this evening are less than on Monday. I still have my fingers crossed. This time, however, I'm heading to the Heights before I need to chain up on Serpentine.

Have a great day!

Temira
