Wednesday Cold Sailing Forecast

Now I'm afraid to ever stop the daily forecast.

=)

I expected to open my window to inversion gloom this morning, but instead all I see is high clouds from the offshore low. I'll count this as a bonus day of nice weather! Speaking of nice weather, Stevenson and Rooster Rock are dishing up (nothing like mixing metaphors - I did that on purpose, just because I can) a fine breakfast of 30ish east winds. The cooks forgot one minor detail: to heat breakfast. It's 43 in Stevenson and 45 at Rooster Rock (and that's degrees, not wind speeds!)

Go get it now. It'll probably be too windy to sail in a couple of hours (is there really such a thing?). Why? East .29 gradient. Need I say more?

Just a tip: Enjoy today's partly sunny weather. We'll be stuck under the confluence of two fronts from late Friday on. As you may remember from previous lectures, rain falls where fronts meet. When the meeting ground stalls (fronts are usually dynamic creatures, always on the move), rain continues falling, and falling, and falling....

Have a fantastic day! Get out on the water... I'm bummed that I can't go... Too much work...

Speaking of cold water sailing, I'm trying to think of cold weather sailing glove ideas that *actually work*... Anyone have any wacky, off the wall ideas?

Ok, now you can go have a fantastic day!
