Monday Forecast

Good morning sailors!

Hopefully many of you made it on the water with a kite or a 5.3 yesterday. Light west winds graced the Gorge under sunny skies and 65 degree temps. Beautiful!

Right now iIt's almost warm (48 degrees) and almost windy (22mph) in Stevenson right now. Winds will increase a bit, but with only a .10 gradient to start the day, we're not looking at an epic easterly. East winds should increase a bit overnight, making for a good session tomorrow morning.

Winds will die early tomorrow, though, as a front approaches, turning gradients onshore.

Wednesday brings light west winds.

Surfing looks good for today and tomorrow, with a six foot swell and light offshore winds, coupled with a thermal low (warm weather) at the coast. I dreamed of surfing big, heavy waves last night. Mostly I was just diving under the waves, avoiding getting crushed. I think it's a sign that I decide where I'm going, thanks to you guys (Israel and Morocco top the list right now).

Ok... I have to go drop off my ballot. Have a great day, and don't forget to vote tomorrow! If you live in Oregon, you CANNOT mail your ballot - you have to drop it off now. If you live in Washington, you can still mail your ballot (postmarks count there).
