Good morning sailors!
We've been discovered. Hide your first-born children, grandma's silverware, and great-grandmama's china. IWindsurf knows about us. Not only do they know, but they thanked me for forecasting during the offseason. I'm not sure if it's a prelude to a full-scale bombing or just economic sanctions, but be warned - they're on to you as well as me!
(I'm teasing, iWindsurf)
According to the City of Stevenson wind meter, it's almost nuclear (32 mph). Funny thing is, I can't determine the temperature from the website. NOAA's Rooster Rock sensor reads 28 mph and 51 degrees. With a .22 gradient, winds will probably increase a bit before the afternoon die-off. And die it will, today. By midnight, gorge gradients go flat, possibly allowing some inversion clouds to develop (but that won't happen if these east winds dry things out enough to prevent fog formation).
If you want to windsurf, go today. Winds turn onshore again tomorrow, and stay that way for a few days, potentially flip-floping weakly back and forth during the cold nights.
Offshore winds on the coast make for good surfing today! After today, coast winds become light, continuing the run of good surfing.
Have a great (nuclear) day today!
Temira
