Monday (those bastards) Forecast

Good morning sailors!

It seems that Sunday is turning into the day when I don't forecast... After working a long week, I tend to sleep in Sunday morning, waking long after it makes sense to send out an email.

So check this out: I went to log into iWindsurf this morning to check the satellite picture, and they've CANCELED (bastards) my membership! Now, granted, I've been trading with them for years, and my membership this year was based on me giving onsite reports (which some of you may have seen), but they canceled my membership without notifying me that they were going to do so! Suspicious? Maybe... Anyway, for those of you who have the same problem, or choose not to pay iWindsurf, you can check windspeeds at windonthewater.com. They're not as accurate, but using those sensors, along with NOAA's pressure report, will give you an idea of what's going on.

Ok. Gradients are flat now, but high pressure will build over eastern Oregon today. This will increase easterly gradients overnight, giving us possible morning easterlies at Stevenson and Rooster tomorrow.

As the inexorable march of hours passes tomorrow, gradients will decrease, eventually returning to a westerly direction. Wednesday carries a possibility of some light westerlies in the Gorge.

Ok everyone. Enjoy the inversion (yes, the rest of Oregon is basking in sunshine right now).
