Saturday Rainbow Forecast

Good Morning Sailors!

There's another beautiful rainbow arcing over the Gorge this morning. Rainbows will continue to make intermittent appearances today, as an approaching front sends showers into the Central Gorge (and lots of snow into the mountains). Cool temps and liquid sunshine won't stop another round of gusty westerlies this afternoon. Look for 0-40 mph westerlies from the Corridor to Boardman today. No really. If it happens before sunset, it's going to be wicked gusty. We're waiting on the passage of a low pressure trough to increase windspeeds, and quite frankly, I think it's going to happen after dark, leaving best winds for those equipped with night vision goggles.

We had a nice little 3-40mph session at the Hatchery yesterday. River flow is way up; we'd have great swell if we could just get some consistent wind....

(the rainbow is still outside my window)

Tomorrow sees high pressure building over Oregon. Skies clear, rain stops, and fog forms. If we're lucky, we'll escape the inversion and see sunshine (but no wind) for Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Coastal beaches clear as well, making for perfect surfing weather! If anyone wants to go surfing on Sunday or Monday, please contact me!

Hang in there today. We're going to see the sun again tomorrow!

(South Africa is at the top of the list right now)
