Good Morning Sailors,
Despite the looming threat of daily rain, The Gorge continues to dish up west winds for the locals. I say "for the local" because yesterday, while the Hatchery was averaging 19-21 in the morning, not one sailor or kiter was on the water. Only Gorge locals would disdain 5.0 sailing.
With gradients starting the day at .08, today brings another round of low twenties wind from Doug's eastward. Don't be surprised to see a late afternoon Arlington bump into the mid to upper twenties as well, but that will be short lived.
As a cold front approaches tomorrow, gradients increase a bit. By afternoon, depending on where the cloud line stops, Doug's to Arlington (and the direction should be OK for The Wall) will see mid-twenties windspeeds.
Monday sees lower level flow buckle, with surface winds shifting to easterly. We probably won't see sailable strength winds, but we might see clearing skies (or an inversion layer!).
Ok, it's off to work for me! Have a great day on the water today!
Temira
