Good morning sailors!
Apparently I'm too old to stay out late any more; that PVD show and the three hours of sleep that night did me in. Yesterday I woke up at 11, and now, at 9:45, I've just crawled out of bed.
I'm not sure it makes much of a difference today, with cold rain falling over much of Oregon and gradients flat (no, not like pancakes - only the river can be flat like a pancake). Most of you will be doing rainy day activities today: watching football or movies, cleaning house, riding mountain bikes... For the hardy winter weather windsurfers, well, my apologies. No wind today.
Tomorrow looks a bit better, as another strong front approaches Oregon. Eastern gorge winds hit the mid twenties for the first half of the day, subsiding as frontal rain sweeps through the state.
Tuesday brings stronger, cooler winds, climbing to the mid to upper twenties from Hood River eastward.
It looks like winter's come a few weeks early this year; with the jet stream aimed right at us, we're stuck in this frontal windsurfing pattern through next week. Winds will be short-lived and difficult to predict, but if you're flexible, you'll get a few hours here and there.
Have fun today!
