Forecast duration

How late into the season do you want a daily forecast? I am also considering switching to a "wind alert" after October first. You'll get an email if, and only if, models look promising. Thanks for your input!

Hi Temira,

Really enjoying the forecasts and commentary. I could keep using them through October.

Thanks!

T-

How about till Halloween? Seems I always (when i still sailed at least) used to get one last one out east, then pack it up for the winter. I plan on kiting until frost forms on my nose this year. I'm afraid I might be hooked.

Hi Temira
I discovered your forecast late in the season, but it is the best! Thanks for all your effort. It would be great if you could continue the forecast til Oct. 15th.
Look forward to your reports next season

I think year-round would be great! Just change it from wind report to inversion report come November! I think a snow report would be good too. Anything to keep the love coming to my mailbox....and get you out of bed early every day!

Hola Temirski,

I like the Halloween idea. Get us
through some of the good easterlies before the water gets too cold.

thanks!!

Keep them coming, T, at least as long as you like. Fun weather read; cold doesn't keep me off the water much, so it's useful! 'Wind alert' only would be fine....
Thanks and good job!

I'll suggest Election Day instead of Halloween so you can remind everyone to mail in their ballots.

Only found out about this forecast two weeks ago, what a bummer. They are great agree with all the good folks that have posted - keep them coming, maybe even include the beach - heard easterlies at the lagoon in Astoria can be quite good!

Off season is really just Dec-Feb. as far as I am concerned. Need not be everyday, though, I am for the alert idea - just send out an email if you are paying attention and see a possibility of wind in the gorge or coast or puget sound, and it coincides with decent wether, e.g. temps near or above 50.

This forecast rocks. Thanks again.

I also just found out about your site a week or so ago. I hope to sail as long as I can stand the cold or until skiing is good. Thank you very much.

Hi, I agree with most of these folks about a longer running forecast. It would be great to have a wind forecast year round, but I'd be happy through November, then starting again in early March!
Thanks
