Back to work forecast

I know many of you are looking at those delicious marine clouds this morning thinking of bailing on work today. It's a farce. Don't believe in the marine layer. Satellite imagery shows minimal marine coverage this morning, with the exception of just west of the Hatchery. Mother Nature's idea of a joke, that is. With .05 to start the day, and Portland headed for 80, it's a heating race again. The Dalles will eke out another victory today, sending winds into the light, but sailable range. Watch for corridor winds to climb into the 18-21 range. Get it today, because unless you're here in Pistol River with me, you're not getting it again until Thursday at best.

High pressure builds over Oregon tonight, and the No. Cal. heat low shifts up the Willamette Valley. Portland swelters, keeping Gorge-ites company in 90 degree misery (well, personally, I like 90 degree weather. Most sane people do not.) Gradients collapse, possibly even providing a nice easterly breeze in Stevenson on Wednesday morning.

Break out the boats and jetskis for a good time the next two days!

Onshore flow returns late Wednesday. It's unclear yet whether this will happen early enough for sailboat races.

Ok. My fingers are going numb. It's cold here this morning, and I'm having trouble typing.

Have a great day on the water!
