Sunday... plus more

It's another sunny day in Pistol River! Blowing sand will exfoliate tourists' delicate cheeks today, sending them (the tourists, not the cheeks) running for cover.

You won't get quite so much wind in the Gorge, but that's not always a bad thing.

Looks like everyone's tired from yesterday, because it's after 8am, windy, and there's not a sail on the water at the Hatchery (and not a car in the upper lot). You have plenty of time today: the wind isn't going anywhere. Just don't get suckered out east by the current 20+ readings. Desert winds diminish as the day goes on, leaving the Corridor to shine. You'll lose your delicately coiffed hairdo in 22-25 today. Don't redo the do after the morning session, though, as you'll be back on the water for more 4.2ish at Doug's/Rowena this afternoon.

I highly recommend getting out today if you enjoy windsurfing or kiteboarding. Tomorrow looks lighter, in the 18-22 range.

Tuesday 'til Friday looks, well, unfortunate. The oven door falls open, sending Gorge temps into the 90's. Portland also bakes (cookies?), sending gradients flat. Winds go easterly starting Wednesday, but don't look particularly strong (yet).

We saw 4.2 here yesterday. Believe it or not, there was a couple on the beach complaining that they were missing a great Threemile day. *sigh*

Have fun on the water today! I'm going to!
