Monday - Wednesday Forecast

Good Morning Sailors!

Apologies for the late forecast. I spent a couple of the wee hours lying on top of a trailer with a friend (yes, yes, how romantic, I know...), watching fireballs streak across the heavens.

It's ok that I'm late. Why? Wakeboarding heaven moved to Hood River for today and tomorrow. Since most of you don't own boats, I'm safe forecasting late! Winds, if they come up at all, will be light easterlies today and light westerlies tomorrow evening.

Wednesday, on the other hand, presents a much more interesting story. An upper low parked off the coast gives marine air a hard push in the back. As low clouds stumble into Portland, temperatures drop. The timing on this isn't clear yet, but we could see a wickedly windy sailboat race (remember, you too can crew). More details coming as Wednesday gets closer.

Thursday looks lovely, as Portland sees another bout of rain and The Dalles heats up.

Overnight temps in the desert are starting to drop (does this mean summer is over already?), so look for later starts on the windy days.

Alrighty. It's Monday, and I'm going to start my day right with a long coffee chat with my friend Ben Dale.

Have a great day wakeboarding, working, or worshipping the sun. Tonight brings more meteors, if you haven't had a chance to see any yet!
