Sunny skies send more wind our way today! Gradients slumped overnight, but rapid desert heating sends winds back where they belong: over the 25mph line. The low pressure trough that's been hanging by the coast, sending one deep marine layer after another, is on its way to Montana. After it passes overhead, high pressure slips into Portland, tightening gradients this afternoon. Thermal support won't be as strong, but we're still looking at mid-twenties at the Hatch by mid-day, with temperatures warm enough for midriff baring clothes for the mid-teen crowd. Watch for upper twenties at Doug's/Rowena tonight.
Look for low twenties tomorrow and the same on Sunday.
Sorry guys. I'm just not in the mood for long-winded creativity this morning.
Oh. One last thing: Tim Requa of Area 54 (Portland electronica radio DJ on KNRK - he's on the list) spins tunes at Cebu Lounge (Hood River Inn) tonight, starting around 9:30/10:00. Cebu's got a wickedly delicious burger with the best bacon ever (no, I am not being paid to say that). So, even if you don't like Tim or his music, it's worth heading down there just for that burger. I, for one, will be there, and I'm making Tom Stevenson buy my burger. =)
Have a great day on the water today! Don't forget that it's Friday, so you'll need to save some energy for going out tonight!
