I like to ride my bicycle...

Well, it's official - everyone thinks I'm crazy because I ride a bike everywhere. I don't get it: it's only 3 miles or so to each of the nearest towns, and all the bikes have baskets, but everyone insists on driving to go shopping. Never mind that it's sunny and 70 degrees. Never mind that starting a month from now we won't see bare ground until March and biking will be out of the question. Biking, here, is for short distances or for pleasure.

I rode up to Lake Fujimi today. In the parking lot, I saw a couple of gaikokujin, or foreigners. I couldn't help it - I stared. It's bizarre seeing a white person you don't know. I'd liken it to being black in Hood River.

Tomorrow is a national holiday. My understanding is that it's national sports and fitness day. Maybe someone will play tennis with me tomorrow (waaaaah!).

Well, I'm tired. Back to other stuff.
